NORC Volunteer Openings

  • Driver

Provide a valuable service to seniors in your community! We need you and your car to provide rides to seniors that no longer drive or the visually impaired and need rides to critical medical appointments, grocery shopping, drug store, etc. Most rides are during the weekdays in the Toco Hills Community. Orientation and trainings are provided and mileage is reimbursed. Come make new friends and support the seniors today and help build a program that may be there for you in the future.

  • Group Social Outing Volunteer Coordinator

Working with the NORC Coordinator, this volunteer Coordinator will coordinate group social outings for 20-23 seniors monthly (sometimes more), selecting the activity with the NORC Coordinator, booking the activity, planning lunch (if included), scheduling the bus/van, announcing the trip details to the NORC Members and taking registrations for the outing including money collection.

  • Lead or Coordinating Volunteer for Senior Friendly Visitor Program

Coordinate the Friendly Visitor Program working with the NORC Coordinator. Recruit volunteers to visit seniors within your community when they are known to be living with a chronic disease or transitioning back home from the hospital. Educate the community about the program. Contact health care providers and tell them about the program. Act as the contact for members and health groups to assist in setting up a schedule of visits.

  • Transport Voucher Program Coordinator

Working with the NORC Coordinator, this volunteer Coordinator will distribute transportation vouchers, accept return of vouchers and update tracking logs. Vouchers provide discounted transportation for our community seniors. Provide assistance to seniors in reserving rides if needed.
