Building kesher relationships

Throughout the 2015-2016 academic year, the Atlanta Jewish Academy has been building Kesher relationships with the Hadasim School located in Federation’s partnership region Yokneam-Megiddo. These programs have included a wide range of activities revolving around Jewish holidays, their schools and communities, and, of course, the student’s themselves.

Just before the Passover holiday, the 4th grade classes continued to build on a strong partnership and their wonderful connection. Students in each class shared how they celebrate Passover in their communities, at home, and at school. They shared with their friends across the sea their personal and special holiday experiences.

Ultimately, they learned that celebrating Passover is very similar in Israel and the United States; yet, each Jewish family has its own unique Seder, which is one of the beautiful traditions of the Jewish people.
