Community-Wide Evaluation

Since embarking on a full Outcomes (impact) model, Federation has assisted local affiliates with the development of appropriate measurement tools with which to evaluate the efficacy of their programs and services. To this and other ends, Federation has contracted with a professional evaluator, Dr. Linda Bloomberg, to facilitate this development and evaluate the resulting data.

Linda has worked with many affiliates to develop the critical features of any evaluation process including:

  • Global organizations outcomes with volunteers and professionals;
  • Indicators of Success for each outcome in order to define measureable variables;
  • Measurement Tools, such as surveys, to measure the success in each programmatic area; and
  • Evaluation Reports analyzing the data produced by the evaluations process to facilitate the determination of next steps.

Affiliates, synagogues and other Jewish organizations in the community can access Linda through the Federation at the following deeply discounted rates as available:

  • $45 per hour, up to 10 hours
  • $75 per hour thereafter, or, and the organization’s direction,
  • A total project rate to be negotiated by the organization with Linda directly

Linda serves as consultant to various research, higher education, and nonprofit advisory boards. She is adjunct faculty at Teachers College Columbia University, Siegal College of Judaic Studies, and Ryder University. Linda has authored numerous books, one of which received the 2009 National Jewish Book Award for Jewish Education and Identity.
